The BSDL was formed in October 2018, giving locals an opportunity to play darts from the Professional distance of 7' 9 1/4" as at the time there was only a 6 foot league that operated in the Bulwell area.

We approached the landlord Darren Faulkner at the Top House asking if he would like to host the league competition(s), which he happily accepted and he soon began revamping the Venue to accommodate more dartboards to allow the growth of the constitution.

We began with just 2 Leagues of 8 players, playing 6 legs of darts each Thursday, we soon expanded and ran a Monday evening league for a couple of years, but had to withdraw this due to the lack of player availability.

We now currently have 4 Leagues running on a Thursday using the Standard Promotion / Relegation process each season, with the seasons running for 24 weeks, the Thursday leagues run from Jan - June and July - December of each calendar year.

We have now introduced another league campaign on a Wednesday Evening @  Bestwood Road Sports & Social Club, This league allowing the elder generation whom have been throwing from 6 foot for years to continue playing darts from that distance, This is run by Cara Wheeldon & Lewis Lamb.

Any players Male / Female are accepted within any of our Leagues / Competitions.
